I’m reminded of an old karaoke song I used to sing when I was 6:

I Whistle a Happy Tune

Whenever I feel afraid
I hold my head erect

So no one will suspect

While shivering in my shoes
I strike a careless pose

The result of this deception
Is very strange to tell

The truth is, when you’re stuck in an emotional rut, you don’t need anyone else. You can always pull yourself out.
